Attendance of Representatives of the Highway 41 Project Team and Town / County Officials at the Brickyard August 27th Board of Director's Meeting and the Relocation of Said Meeting
Brickyard Plantation Residents,
There has been a recent chain of events concerning proposed changes to the flow of traffic at the intersection of Brickyard Parkway/Hamlin Road and Highway 41 that I want to disseminate to everyone:
The Highway 41 Project Team sent an email out Monday, August 19th directing the recipient to a presentation concerning proposed changes to the intersection of Brickyard Parkway/Hamlin Road and Highway 41. This presentation can be found at https://www.hwy41sc.com/intersection.html. To my knowledge this was the first public release that changes to this intersection were under consideration.
The Highway 41 Project Team made a request of our property management company late last week to be placed on the agenda for the next regular Brickyard Plantation board of directors meeting (Tuesday, August 27th at 6:30). Their purpose was to provide the board with information about the proposed traffic flow at the intersection of Brickyard Parkway/Hamlin Road and Highway 41, and to indicate they were planning a larger public event on October 1st and 2nd to disseminate to the community at large.
Before this above request was approved or scheduled, word got out to the Brickyard community and public officials, who began making plans to attend.
I want to facilitate everyone who was making plans to attend and participate in our Tuesday, August 27th board meeting. However, recognize that with the high level of interest in this subject the Brickyard Clubhouse will probably not safely accommodate the number of possible attendees. I have been in discussions with the Highway 41 Project Team and they have volunteered to pursue a larger venue first thing Monday, August 26th, that will safely accommodate a larger audience, and also facilitate communications between the attendees and the presenters.
If you want to be notified of the venue move by noon Tuesday, August 27th, please send an email to both BYPOA.Pres@gmail.com AND Hwy41SC@gmail.com. In addition to advertising the new meeting location, this will facilitate a count of the anticipated number of attendees.
After you attend this meeting, I encourage you to formally document your concerns to the Highway 41 Project team by:
